Oh, how I just love watching these runway shows, they just spew so many emotions in me. I often tell others and yes, this is true for me, that I don’t care about having the materialistic designer pieces. Although it would be nice to own at least one little piece of their Haute Couture collections, I just love watching what they have created. Pieces of fashions such as these are just pure creations of art. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way, that it’s just pure excitement of just looking at them. Today’s Haute Couture video is Valentino. Valentino, along with a list of many of designers creates just pure beauty from Haute Couture to Ready To Wear. Enjoy his Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014/15 collection.

On the streets of Paris for Men’s Fashion Week 2015, the fashion is clearly there with style. Paris has such class and the attendees were in typical Paris form. The looks were graphic tees, black on black and the tattoos were definitely in full force with the men. Blazers, bermuda shorts, loafers and cropped pants were also the dominating look on the streets. I would normally face my attention toward the women’s style, but the men’s out-shined the women for me. There’s still a few more days left for Paris Men’s Fashion Week, so stay tuned for more great looks.

So I stumbled across this article in Harpers Bazaar and I as I was reading it, I was really quite baffled. Ok, I get it, I totally agree that there are some things that a woman shouldn’t wear past a certain age. Trust me, I wouldn’t be caught dead in several of the looks, but some of the suggestions were really irritating because, if worn right on a woman past her 20’s, it can still look classy. Say for instance the hot pink or orange lipstick. This color is not just for the 20 something, although it does go with a certain skin tone. There are older women in their 50’s and 60’s who can really rock certain outfits depending on their style and how well they keep themselves up. Another issue I have is the ‘no make-up to work’, yes, going completely bare is a no no. But, some women do not need a ton of makeup. A bit of mascara, blush and lipgloss will do. There are a few more there, that are just a bit insidious. Especially to say that only the 20 something can wear sneakers with a dress. I love you Harper’s but, just look at the entire fashion community, especially during fashion week. Do you think the styles being worn are just the 20 something wearing them? I don’t think so…..
I finally realized last month that I am a Binge shopper. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have this dirty little addiction of shopping at Nordstrom way too much. After looking at my bank statement last month, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The majority of transactions came from Nordstrom. I just buy to buy, which is a vile, and retched habit. It’s almost as if I think I’m marathon shopping… It’s crazy.
I finally realized I had a problem, so I decided to do something about it. At the first of this month, I went Nordstrom free shopping for one whole month. I did break my promise though, just once. But it was for Father’s Day shopping and I did manage to find myself an adorable Top Shop romper though….other than that, I think I’ve done pretty well.
Another bad thing is, I’ve influenced my oldest daughter with the bug now too. Hopefully she won’t get it as bas as me. I’m going to see if I can continue on with this trend…(hopefully)
WHOOOOO, these are THE most adorable pieces of statement jewelry you can own! I especially love the way they are marketing it. The lovely pastel colors of the lollipops topped off with the rings. Moda Operandi, you’ve done it again!
Poses, they’re a models signature stance. From the ‘one hand on the hip’, with the ‘head tilted to the side pose’. This seems to be the pose of choice in pictures. But a bad picture can leave power can literally leave us miserable for days. I’ve noticed that a lot of the younger girls do this pose more than anything. So what is it about this pose that makes everyone feel so confident? Even my girls do this pose, it’s almost as if they’re programmed to take pictures this way.Take a look at some below:
So? What do you think?
Mucho Besos all!
