Lana Del Rey enchants us all with her palliative voice and her lyrics that seem to have a familiar place with us all. Her undeniable indie style without doubt is a shared sentiment by thousands. Her first single ‘West Coast’ from her upcoming album Ultraviolence at Coachella Music Festival last night. It does not disappoint, especially if you’re a Lana fan. Watch the video here:

Nause Unveils Official Music Video For ‘Head Over Heels’

Since the inception of electronic dance music and the dance music scene, it has been transformed into a largely incredible genre of music that has drawn an exceptionally large following. With Sweden as the nation that has consistently produced top talent in the electronic dance music scene, the country has also brought out another accomplished duo; Nause.

Nause consists of Jacob Criborn and Leonard Scheija. They burst on the electronic music dance scene in 2012 and have no plans to stop. They debuted their hot dance track ‘Made Of‘ on Universal Music and followed up with ‘Mellow‘ and ‘Hungry Hearts‘. These tracks alone have put them on top of the dance music charts and giving them a Swedish Grammy nomination in 2012 and another nomination in 2013 for ‘Best Electro/Dance’ act.

Now with their growing fan based they have released a new track called ‘Head Over Heels‘ on Universal Music and to go along with it, they have released their official music video which was shot on the streets of Oslo and Stockholm and which follows a custom-made ‘Taxi 455′ cab and gives the general public a chance to ride with the music just thumping and pounding, the taxi cab takes the passengers wherever they want. The beat stops with the taxi ride coming to an end and the camera gets every shot and every minute of the journey. With no scripts, no actors, it was shot with pure exhilaration and the video compliment the track perfectly.

Nause is definitely a duo to watch and to continue to listen to their prodigious dance tracks. ‘Head Over Heels’ is now out on Universal Music Worldwide (ex USA and UK), the USA and UK release dates will be announced soon.

Ode To Ultra Music Festival 2014

Ultra-Music-Festival-2013-e1362964608685

Well, I had my airfare booked, my press application through Hit The Floor Magazine approved and I was ready to go to Miami to the Ultra Music Festival. Unfortunately because of my ongoing neurological issues, which caused a new problem to arise, I had to cancel my trip to Miami. You don’t even know how it pained me to let the Editor/Founder of Hit The Floor know I wasn’t able to attend. To this day I am so bummed about it and listening to Sirius XM Electronic broadcast live from Miami just twists the knife even more, but hey, I’m doing to myself right?

I can’t help it, I am an EDM junkie and always have been. But even though I’m not able to physically be there, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy myself with listening to the worlds best EDM DJ’s and that I am doing. Listening to Hardwell, Avicii, Diplo, Cedris Gervais and more eases the pain just a bit. Hopefully with the next music festivals coming up, I’ll get my accreditation and get to interview some that I’m not able to this time around. I guess things happen for a reason right? I keep trying to tell myself that LOL! Enjoy!

Selfies Anyone??

header

Taking “selfies” have become the thing to do lately and to be quite honest, I’m not a “selfie” person. I just don’t want MY face posted all over the internet, but who am I to question what anyone else does right? To each his own I guess. But the whole trend has everyone on tap, from everyday people to celebrities snapping pics of themselves at parties and at events, hey even at the Oscars!

It can be all in good fun and it has the potential to help those who need a little boosting of the self confidence. Whatever anyone’s reasoning for posting “selfies” it has definitely taken off like wild fire and will probably be around for a long time to come. Go ahead, post your “selfie” on instagram, Facebook, twitter and any other social media accounts, see how many “likes” you can get.

To get those of you who love taking “selfies” in the mood for more, watch THE best video for one of my favorite tracks right now from The Chainsmokers, appropriately called #Selfie.

Lady Gaga opens up

Lady Gaga recently opened up to Harper’s Bazaar and revealed she was ‘very depressed at the end of 2013′. As being one of pops greatest icon, she shows that even great artists like her are just as vulnerable to battling their own demons inside. In the interview she went on to say “I learned that my sadness never destroyed what was great about me. You just have to go back to that greatness, find that one little light that’s left. I’m lucky I found one little glimmer stored away,” She noted that she became very depressed at the end of 2013 and found that she had such bitterness and deep sadness. She realized she no longer wanted to be depressed.

No matter how one feels about her, her music or her beliefs, exalting her as creative is undeniable and as she puts it “I’m an artist. I deserve better than to be loyal to people who only believe in me because I make money.” It seems as though in todays world people flock to celebrities such as her stature just because she makes money, but neither her nor I can ever change that. She has made some clear changes in her life that are benefiting her such as spotting someone that doesn’t have her best interest at heart and will not let anyone take advantage of her anymore.
