Seriously, summer is really the 2nd best time of the year next to Christmas. Well, correction, 3rd best after Easter! The open toed shoes and manicures galore, we have it all don’t we as women? But when it comes to choosing the best nail color it can be a difficult choice. I don’t know about you, but I am the most indecisive person, not just when it comes to nail colors, but anything in general. Enough about indecisions, lets get back to nails. When you think of summer what is the first thing that comes to mind? I don’t know about you, but the first thing I think about is the beach, deep blue sea water and sand. What goes with summer, sand and deep blue sea water? Magnificent manicured nails with the color of mediterranean waters. So, I shopped for us and found the perfect shades of blue for your next manicure or pedicure. Look below:

At a launch party for Jimmy Choo and his new line of sporty footwear called Choo.08 in Beverly Hills. There was of course the usual list of celebrities there to show their support and yes, tons fabulous style. Being married to a Greek man, I am very familiar with the Evil Eye and how the Greeks believe that if you wear something with the evil eye on, it will keep all negative thoughts away. So, I loved Emmy Rossums nails so much that I just had to share and other nail art similar to hers
Don’t you just love? I think this is going to be on my next mani with Monica at Nordstrom Roseville

There are so many fantastic colors to choose from right now for an amazing mani or pedi! With the weather changing here in California and hopefully for the east coast as well, now is the time to put some spring into your fingers and toes. To get the maximum effect and show off those tips, choose pastels such as pink, blue, lavender and mint greens. But if you want to get a little crazy, try a gorgeous coral or even a hot orange, either way you’ll want to change them everyday!

Nail polish color trends come and go so quickly by the time any of us realize that its THE color of the moment, a new one has already taken its place. So, with that being said, black is the color of the moment. But it seems as though its never really gone out of style. This color has been showing up a lot lately on the red carpet of award shows as the color of choice for a lot of celebrities. The good thing about black is that there are many options to add different colors or adornments to it.
There are so many ways to wear gold as an accent during the holidays and especially for New Years Eve. Gold accents in makeup, skin and the hair can really add a special touch that will bring out say… your eyes. Below are some really great tips that will have you sparkling and shining…..
FOR THE SKIN:
Using an enhancing powder for your body or face will give a subtle little glow and sparkle, but be sure not to use anything that has too much of gold specks, make sure is light and airy. Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer in Gold, and my choice of which I most definitely am trying is Marc Jacobs Beauty Lightshow Luminizing Powder, and for an all over body glow try Edward Bess All Over Seduction in Afterglow.
Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer $95 Neimanmarcus.com
Marc Jacobs Beauty Lightshow Luminizing Powder $59 Sephora.com
Edward Bess All Over Seduction $38 Sephora.com
For The Eyes:
Other than the lips, the eyes are the first thing that someone looks at on your face and for special events and parties. When using eyeshadows try using my favorite MAC Cosmetics Nocturnals Pigments and Colors, this will make your eyes pop. For that extra mile, try Kre-At 24 Karat Gold Lashes
MAC Cosmetics Pigment in Gold $21 maccosmetics.com
Kre-At 24 Karat Gold Lashes $295 Barneys.com
For The Hair:
If you want to be the belle of the party and really get them staring, try Oribe 24 -Karat Gold Pomade. Use to sleek back your ponytail and add some sparkle or use on a side swept bang.
The nails are definitely a statement maker and when you make your rounds at your party or event, go ahead, show off your nails girl! You’ll be the envy of the party.
